Technical Services Engineer
Position: Full-time employee
Reports to: Manager of Technical Services
Location: Concord, ON

Responsibilities for the right candidate may include:
- Providing technical support via telephone and the web to customers.
- Participating in rotational on-call technical support.
- Up to 30% travel with the majority in North America.
- Assisting in the development of technical training materials.
- Conducting technical training sessions for groups.
- Performing onsite and remote installations of Omnivex software.
- Investigating new technologies for complimenting, or incorporating into, product offerings.
- Performing troubleshooting and determining best practices procedures.
- Other duties and willing to learn new things as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Post-secondary education in a technical program.
- 3 – 5 years experience in an equivalent role.
- Formal training experience.
- Minimum MCP certification.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and oral).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to:
- work under time constraints and adapt to change,
- take appropriate action to efficiently resolve issues,
- take accountability to solve issues from beginning to end,
- respond promptly to customer needs, and
- receive and incorporate feedback to improve personal and business performance.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows based software and hardware.

Application Engineer

Qualified candidates will assist the Sales team by providing technical leadership in all aspects of the sales cycle. Application Engineers must have advanced communication skills, technical credibility, product knowledge and work well either in a team environment, or independently.
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is mandatory.
- 5 years experience in a Software Vendor, Professional Services, IT consulting or Systems Integration environment or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Self-starter that manages time and activities with minimal supervision.
- Professional presentation skills (development and delivery of presentation materials).
- Sound understanding of Microsoft technologies and operating platforms (hardware and software).
- Excellent listening skills resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction. Must be able to listen for opportunities as well as potential technical hurdles.
- Provide quality, customer facing documentation as required by the Sales Team members.
- Outgoing personality; comfortable with presentations in front of customers and prospects.
- The ability to travel in excess of 50%.
- Experience with customer service and preparing quotes and proposals.
- On-site and remote pre-sales support and product installation for proof of concepts.
- Handling technical presentations at trade shows and conferences.
- Completing the technical components of RFI/RFP’s.
- Installation and Training co-ordination.
- VAR Training co-ordination.

Inside Sales Representative
Position: Full-time employee

The right candidate would:
- Act proactively to create opportunities for new business, and build relationships to provide repeat business and excellent customer service through phone calls and emails.
- Participate in targeted sales initiatives and promotions to both prospective and existing customers.
- Support the efforts of the Sales Team and Omnivex Channel Partners throughout the sales cycle and processing of orders as they are closed.
- Process and enter all orders into our Customer Records Management system (CRM) with accuracy - products, maintenance, training and services.
- Data entry of all web inquires and sales leads into the CRM, maintain customer and prospect data in the CRM as deemed necessary.
- Respond to web inquiries and distribute sales leads (web inquiries/tradeshows/partners/other) to the Sales Team or respective Omnivex reseller based on their pre-defined accounts and territories.
- Perform sales order review verifying that all appropriate documentation is complete (i.e. terms and conditions, part numbers, prices etc.).
- Assist with quote generation and software evaluation requests to prospects and existing customers.
- Answer incoming general information requests made by prospective and existing customers.
- Complete and maintain accurate sales forecasts in our CRM for reporting to Management.
- Gain a thorough understanding of Omnivex products, services, processes and policies.
- Communicate and liaise with other Omnivex department personnel to ensure efficient processing and delivery of customer orders.
