I have recently put all our presentation software onto a new PC, while all else is fine, I cannot get SQLLink4 to connect to the SQL Server. I get "Could not connect to data source with given information". Both in Native SQLServer and ODBC connection setup.

However, if I create an ODBC link in Windows it connects and I can use that connection in SQLLink3 ok and retrieve data. So I know it is not the login.

Could I be missing some Drivers or could it be something more devious causing me a problem.

Thanks
Gary

Gary,

The SQLLink 3 version that is working, is it on the same PC as SQLLink 4? If it is not you could try to put them on the same PC and test out the connection again. Otherwise we could get on a quick WebEx to see whats going on.

Let me know.

Hi Mark,
Yes it is on the same PC. Doing a Webex is a great idea but will have to be next week now. It's past midnight here in Brisbane.
