Omnivex Corporation Announces Release of Omnivex Display Version 3.11
Enhanced Remote Management and Data Redundancy added to Digital Signage Content Management Tool
Concord, Ontario – October 3, 2005 – Omnivex Corporation today announced that version 3.11 of
Omnivex Display software has been released and is now available. This version includes several
enhancements relating to the remote management and monitoring of Omnivex Display Players.
"Our customers who are centrally managing hundreds of remote locations around the world, have
asked for more advanced tools to help them manage these remote players" stated Doug Bannister,
Omnivex CEO and Director of Software Development. "We see our customers as partners and strive
to make their jobs easier. With Omnivex Display version 3.11's enhanced remote management
features, we have provided them with the tools they need", added Bannister.
The enhancements include:
- Centrally collected player status information
- Enhanced remote registration
- Automated retrieval of content "proof of play" logs
- Detailed transmission status logs
- Redundant DataPipe Servers can be defined to ensure real-time data is accurate and up to date
- Multiple FTP Servers are now supported
- Scheduled Player restarts can be defined at the user's discretion
Omnivex Display 3 is used to assemble, schedule, deliver and playback content over digital
signage networks within several vertical markets including retail, financial services,
transportation, network operations, call centers, corporate communications and manufacturing.
The software is Windows® based, has been in use since May of 1998, and utilizes industry
standard file formats.
