Bringing context to visual communications hallmark of new digital signage sofware from Omnivex

Patent-pending Moxie platform builds on 17 years of digital signage experience to deliver rich context-specific media to the enterprise, dramatically increasing impact and lowering costs

Concord, Ontario - February 26, 2008 - Omnivex Corporation, the premier provider of digital signage software, announced today a new digital signage platform called Moxie™ based on the latest technologies from Microsoft.

Moxie's role is to improve the process to rapidly develop and deploy digital signage networks, and significantly lower the cost to operate these systems. This patent-pending technology will enable content developers, network operators and marketing managers to take advantage of the latest advances in Windows graphics capabilities and network management, and tie them directly to real-time information.

Moxie uses the same 3D graphics engine found in Microsoft Windows Vista and high-end video games. Omnivex developed Moxie software to meet people's rising expectations for both richer and more relevant content on display screens.

"With greater exposure to high-end graphics from computer games and with the pending cutover to HDTV by 2009, people's expectations of video content are growing rapidly," said Jeff Collard, President of Omnivex. The Moxie platform can be seen at the 2008 Digital Signage Expo (Omnivex Booth No. 649) on February 27-28 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.

  • Encryption, authentication and permissioning down to a single variable, protecting data and providing complete security
  • Remote updating, monitoring, alerting and management, which are available from any point on the network, maximizing uptime, and making the system more reliable
