Selecting the correct resolution package
When you are using Display 3, you need to create a layout that is the same resolution as the native resolution of your screen. If you don't know your screen's native resolution, refer to your product manual or contact Omnivex Support for assistance. We have created templates at five common resolutions, in both landscape and portrait versions.

To download a template package:

1. In the table below, click on the link for your screen resolution. The resolutions are listed in ascending order by width x height.
   A dialog box appears, prompting you to run or save the .msi file.
2. Save the file to the PC on which you have installed Display 3 Director.

Once you have downloaded and saved the .msi file, double-click on it to run the installation. Follow the standard installation prompts. By default, the template package installs in C:\Program Files\Omnivex\Display 3\Content\Templates\resolution where resolution is the resolution you selected.

Using Omnivex templates in your layout
Once you have the templates installed on your local Director PC, you can easily add them to your Display 3 layout.

To create a layout using a template:

1. From the Design page, click New. If more than one Device resolution has been configured, the system displays the Select a working resolution window.
   
2. Select the resolution that matches your screen's native resolution and the resolution of your template files.
3. Click OK. Your new layout appears with a completely black background.
4. In the Inspector, click the Content tab.
5. Click Background to expand the section.
6. From Style, select Image.
   
7. In File Name, browse to find the location in which you installed the templates (the default location is C:\Program Files\Omnivex\Display 3\Content\Templates\resolution).
   
8. Select the template you want to use.
9. Click OK.
