Reuters Data Interfaces
Omnivex offers several utilities that allow you to display real-time data from Reuters Terminal. These
utilities make Reuters news headlines and financial information, including custom top ten lists, available
to Omnivex DataPipe 3. This data can then be linked to any appropriate Omnivex content management
application to be displayed or used to trigger content.
Omnivex NewsLink 2 allows you to obtain news headlines from Reuters Terminal and make those headlines available
to Omnivex DataPipe 3. Omnivex NewsLink 2 provides a simple, user-friendly interface, giving you complete control
over which headlines are used based on the Reuters codes that accompany each headline.
Boolean logic is used to filter within the Reuters codes as well as any text in the body of the headline.
Omnivex NewsLink 2 also captures trading data specific to a company featured in a news headline at the time the
story appears. So as events unfold, you are automatically notified of trading activity on companies in the news.
The most common use for Omnivex NewsLink 2 is to display news headlines (either scrolling or sequenced) in
conjunction with other content. The Reuters news feed requires a subscription.
Omnivex Chain 3 allows you to obtain market data from a Reuters feed in the form of a stock list chain. These
chains can be custom top 10 lists that dynamically change. Omnivex Chain 3 provides a simple user-friendly
interface giving you complete control over which stock lists are downloaded from Reuters and made available to
Omnivex DataPipe 3.
Omnivex Chain 3 allows you to determine the maximum number of stocks you would like to have returned from Reuters
for each stock list chain, thus ultimately allowing you control of the number of stocks sent to your display device.
The most common use for Omnivex Chain 3 is to display custom stock lists like top 10, in conjunction with other
content. The Reuters data feed requires a subscription.
