Note: Before beginning this process, ensure there is no pre-existing Moxie_Database on your SQL Server.

Symptoms

• The user interface of the Omnivex Data Server Connection tool is not displayed, however it does appear in the Task Manager and on the taskbar. 
  

Cause

Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 Service Pack 2 is a prerequisite for this application and is not installed or has been removed from the host computer.

Prior to making any changes to a Moxie Data Server host, Omnivex recommends performing a complete backup of your configuration.  If hosting the Moxie Data Server in a virtual environment, a snapshot of the VM is recommended.  Otherwise, backup instructions can be found here.
